VIDEO PRODUCTION SERVICES
This is a student-operated service with limited resources. Faculty members can arrange for one of our students to audio/video record their class. This service offers faculty members and graduate teaching assistants an opportunity to examine their teaching closely, whether in the classroom, laboratory, lecture hall, or studio. It also allows the faculty to document student presentations, student micro-teaching exercises, student speeches, and guest lectures in their curriculum.
Policies
A minimum of two weeks notice is required to schedule video production. All requests for classroom audio/video recording must be for the purposes of evaluation or preservation of course activities for current or future instructional use (e.g., recording a guest speaker or student panel discussion). The request must originate from a faculty member for a course he or she is currently teaching. The production is scheduled during scheduled course time or by appointment in our video production room.

Duplication of Pre-recorded Videos
The right to make copies of a copyrighted video is one of the several rights held exclusively by the copyright owner, or the copyright owner's designate. The Center for Instructional and Learning Technologies will, consequently, under no circumstances make copies of copyrighted works without the express written permission of the copyright holder. This policy applies to both materials produced in the United States and abroad.
Duplication of Programs Copied Off the Air
Television programs copied off the air may be used in certain classroom and teaching contexts for a limited amount of time. Programs copied off the air may not, generally, be legally duplicated. Programs copied off the air may be kept for 45 days, shown in class two times and must be erased at the end of the 45 days (Circular 21, Reproduction of Copyrighted Works by Educators and Librarians).
